Liverpool Next Fixtures Fans Scared To Watch – Uaetodaynews
Liverpool have a further seven games to close out the month, and despite a nine-game unbeaten run, supporters have not grown optimistic about the Reds’ potential.

Arne Slot saw his side relinquish two points at Fulham at the death, while it extended the unbeaten run to nine games, fans are under no illusions about the performances behind the results.

For the 11th league game in a row, Liverpool spent time walking than their opposition, with intensity no longer a defining trait.

Of those last 11 opponents, only four sit inside the top half of the Premier Leagueand fingers continue to point at the lack of identity from Slot, with concerns rightly growing for what’s ahead.

Liverpool’s next 7 games: All competitions

Arsenal (A)– PL – January 8
Barnsley (H)– FA Cup – January 12
Burnley (H)– PL – January 17
Marseille (A)– UCL – January 21
Bournemouth (A)– PL – January 24
Qarabag (H)– UCL – January 28
Newcastle (H)– PL – January 31

Liverpool have four league games to close out the month, including a trip to leaders Arsenal on Thursday, plus FA Cup and Champions League progression to clinch.

Beyond that, there are meetings with Man City (Feb 8) and Sunderland (Feb 11) on the horizon, and recent performance levels has left little optimism among supporters:

Another tame and passive performance from Liverpool. Scared to watch the Arsenal game on Thursday

I’m not optimistic here. We can’t even handle the “smaller” teams these days.

Everyone knows we haven’t got a chance against Arsenal. This side that conceded 2 today might genuinely concede 4/5

That’s the thing. All the games we’ve just played people said they would the easiest run?? I can’t see him surviving that next 6 fixtures. If he does m, barring 6 wins, whoever is keeping him needs to go. It’s absolutely dire.

Arne Slot defends his philosophy: “I didn’t change”

Liverpool have stopped the bleeding when it comes to defeats, but they have not been any convincing when it comes to having turned a corner.

After the 2-2 draw at Fulhamthough, Slot insisted that his philosophy has not changed this season, as he maintained that he “didn’t change as a manager.”

“Yes, I would love us to create from ball possession,” Slot told reporters.

“I can tell you this, my philosophy of football hasn’t changed this year compared to all the seasons I was a manager before, but we have to do it with the players that we have available.

“And I think today, 11 very good football players were on the pitch, maybe not all of them in their normal position, but in the first half, they controlled the game.”

He later added: “I didn’t change as a manager. I would love to play with eight attackers, if that’s possible, defensively as well.

“But if those eight attackers don’t defend enough, then it’s hard to win a game of football. But we don’t have eight attackers, so that’s not possible.”
