The final of the FIFA Confederations Cup Qatar 2025 will be held just 24 hours before the final of the Arab Cup Qatar 2025, in a clear display of the country’s ability to organize major sporting tournaments simultaneously.
The Confederations Cup final will bring together the European champion, the French club Paris Saint-Germain, and the Copa Libertadores champion, the Brazilian club Flamengo, today, Wednesday, September 17, at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium at 8:00 pm Qatar and Saudi Arabia time, to determine the best club in the world for the year 2025.
Paris Saint-Germain is participating for the first time in the tournament after an exceptional season during which it won the Champions League title for the first time in the club’s history, following its historic 5-0 victory over Italian Inter Milan in the final match.
The French team includes an elite group of its most prominent stars, led by Ballon d’Or winner French star Ousmane Dembélé and Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi, and the team is expected to attract thousands of fans from inside and outside Qatar.
For its part, Brazilian Flamengo recently won the Americas Derby Qatar 2025 and Qatar Challenge Cup 2025, after defeating Mexico’s Cruz Azul and Egypt’s Pyramids, respectively.
The South American champion hopes to win the Confederations Cup title, at the conclusion of the club competitions held in Qatar throughout the days of the Arab Cup Qatar 2025.
The 2025 Arab Cup final match will be held tomorrow, Thursday, between Morocco and Jordan at Lusail Stadium, which hosted the 2022 World Cup final between France and Argentina.
The match’s start whistle will sound at exactly seven o’clock Qatar and Saudi Arabia time.
The Moroccan team enters the final looking to regain the Arab Cup title that has been absent from its coffers since 2012, at a time when it is looking forward to delighting its fans days before the start of the African Nations Championship, which it is hosting on its home soil and in front of its fans.
As for the Jordanian team, it enters the final with the ambition of writing a new history, as it has never won the title, and seeks to confirm that its remarkable presence in the last Asian Cup final and its qualification for the 2026 World Cup were not a mere coincidence.
