The Arab Cup Is Preparing For Greater Excitement After 4 Teams Qualified For The Semi

The curtain fell this Friday evening on the quarter-final matches of the 2025 Arab Cup, which is currently being held in Qatar and will continue until December 18.

Eight teams had bid farewell to the group stage: “Tunisia, Qatar, Oman, Comoros, Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Sudan.”

8 teams qualified for the quarter-finals: “Palestine, Syria, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, UAE, Algeria and Iraq.”

Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the UAE qualified for the semi-finals, while Syria, Palestine, Iraq and Algeria were eliminated from the quarter-finals.

The semi-final matches are scheduled to be held next Monday, December 15, where the matches will be as follows:

– Morocco vs. the Emirates, on the grounds of Khalifa International Stadium, at 6:30 pm Qatar time.

– Saudi Arabia vs. Jordan, at Al Bayt Stadium, at 9:30 pm Qatar time.

It is worth noting that Qatar is currently hosting the 2025 Arab Cup for National Teams under the auspices of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), after holding it in a new format in the 2021 edition.

The tournament began in 1963 in Lebanon, without specifying a specific date for its holding, due to the different circumstances of the continental federations. It is not a requirement for the first team to participate in the tournament, as some federations send the youth team, the Olympic team, or the local team.

However, since the new tournament system, a specific format has been determined for holding the tournament every 4 years, and it has become sponsored by FIFA.

The strong teams competing in the tournament, which have now reached the semi-final stage, are awaiting many exciting situations that have become common in this edition of the tournament.
