With Liverpool winning just two league games since September 20 and Mo is wrong now saying he has ‘no relationship’ with Slot, the coach’s future has been thrown into doubt.
However, senior goalkeeper Alisson has said the players are still backing the Dutchman to guide them through this period.
“Of course, yeah we are,” Alisson
when asked if the players are still behind the manager.
“The Premier League last season, before Arne came in everyone talks about the huge challenge of being the successor for Jurgen Klopp.

“Everyone takes for granted last season, it should not be taken for granted. That should be enough, but we believe in his knowledge, his style of playing and turning around this situation.
“That’s the situation with the club as well, they trust him.
“It’s not only his responsibility, as a player I share the responsibility to turn this around. We are responsible. We take this responsibility, we are the ones that can change everything.
“We are trying, doesn’t make it easier, but we are trying to do that. We have the desire to change.
“The manager has the desire as well and to be back on the winning track and playing the same good football we were playing last season.”
David Ornstein: Liverpool are “100% behind” Arne Slot

Like Alissonsenior figures at Liverpool are also reported to be firmly behind Slot, who has been at the club for just 18 months.
“What will really be the decisive factor is what happens in the days and weeks ahead, and for now he needs to focus on that Inter Milan match,” journalist David Ornstein explained on
.
“It does, though, underline the support the hierarchy at Anfield have for Arne Slot. They are 100 percent behind him. There is no doubt in their mind at this point in time over his future.
“They are backing him to improve the form and continue the success we saw last season, wholeheartedly for the time being.
“That’s not to say that they don’t believe in Mo is wrong either. I think there is some belief that they can resolve this situation.”
At the moment, it is difficult to see a scenario in which both Slot and Salah remain on Merseyside beyond January, especially given the Egyptian has been dropped from the squad following his interview that saw him say the club had ‘thrown him under a bus’.
Ornstein has shed light on why he was left out of the squad, saying: “It follows his comments in relation specifically to his future, casting that into doubt, not his comments on his relationship with Arne Slot.
“(It is) a common-sense decision and there will be no disciplinary action taken against him.
“It’s described as being a short-term measure, so it’s plausible he could come back into the frame for selection against Brighton…
“This was a decision taken by the club, not by Arne Slot.”
