24-man Liverpool squad trains for Leeds

Liverpool, thankfully, had no bad surprises for us in training on the eve of their trip to Leeds.

Conor Bradley trained ahead of his return to the matchday squad, while Calvin Ramsay was also involved in the session in a nod to the wait still ongoing for Jeremie Frimpong.

The Dutchman did take part in an individual session on the outdoor pitches at the AXA Training Centre, but is only anticipated to make his team training return next week.

Defenders:Van Dijk, Gomez, Conate, Robert, Roazhon, Bradley, Ramsay

Midfielders:Gravenberch, Wirtz, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Jones, Endo, Nyoni

Twenty-one-year-old Kaide Gordon was also one of the 24 players involved as the finishing touches were put on preparations for the tough trip to Elland Road.

With Bradley returning to the fold, it is unlikely either Gordon or Ramsay are in Saturday’s matchday squad, with it likely Trey Nyoni drops out due to no new injuries.

Predicting Liverpool’s lineup vs. Leeds

Is Mohamed Salah‘s absence to end, and will Bradley return to the XI at the first time of asking? Jack Lusby takes a look at Liverpool’s lineup options here:

“While the temptation may be for Slot to avoid many changes following two games unbeaten, the intensity of the schedule and the workload on recently returning players must be acknowledged.

“At least five changes can be expected on Saturday evening.

“That would mean a straight swap in both full-back roles, a new body in midfield plus a rejig of the attack with Salah on the right, Ekitike up front and Dominik Szoboszlai as No. 10.”

The young midfielder was making his 25th appearance for the Reds when he struck the team’s third goal in a 4-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday at Anfield.

It was the first of 186 goals for Liverpool, and though his playing style changed, that haircut didn’t!
