Palladino Is The New Coach Of Atalanta After The Dismissal Of Juric

Atalanta signed a contract with Palladino that extends until the end of next season, and the Italian coach will play his first match with the team against Napoli, the defending champion, next week after the international break.

Palladino (41 years old) achieved great success with Monza and Fiorentina, but he left Fiorentina suddenly after leading them to sixth place in the league and reaching the semi-finals of the Conference League.

Palladino will succeed his Croatian counterpart, Ivan Juric, who was dismissed yesterday, Monday, after a series of seven matches without a win in the Italian Football League, causing Atalanta to fall to 13th place in the standings.

Juric was sacked two days after a 3-0 loss to newly promoted Sassuolo.

Atalanta is 11 points away from the top two, Inter Milan and Roma, after two consecutive losses and five consecutive draws.

In the Champions League, Atalanta began its campaign with two wins, a draw and a loss in the first four rounds of the league stage, as Palladino’s second match with Atalanta will be a guest against German Eintracht Frankfurt.

Atalanta is the fourth team in the Italian League to change its coach this season, after Juventus, Genoa and Fiorentina.
