Revealing The Launch Date Of The New Glenn Rocket With Two Satellites To Study The Martian Atmosphere

A report issued by the university stated: “On November 9, the New Glenn space rocket will be launched with two satellites to study the atmosphere of Mars. The launch will be carried out from Cape Canaveral in Florida, within the framework of the (ESCAPADE) mission.”

The ESCAPADE mission aims to study the interaction of the solar wind with the Martian atmosphere, which causes the red planet’s gaseous atmosphere to flow into space, develop an updated map of the remaining Martian magnetosphere, and test a new flight path to the planet.

In September 2024, SpaceNews reported that NASA had decided to postpone the ESCAPADE mission, which was scheduled to be carried out with the first experimental test of the aforementioned missile. Also in August last year, ArsTechnica reported that Rocket Lab had completed the manufacturing of the two satellites used in the aforementioned mission.

It should be noted that the New Glenn rocket is a heavy space rocket that can be used than once, developed by Blue Origin to compete with the Falcon 9 and Starship rockets produced by the American company SpaceX. This missile is 98 meters long and 7 meters in diameter, and was designed to be able to transport payloads weighing 45 tons to low Earth orbit. The first launch of the missile was carried out last January.
